Sales consultant vacancy at Kochi

 The Pre-sales consultant coordinates the pre-sales activities. He/she transfers industry, technical and product knowledge via good written, verbal and presentation skills. Assists in all levels of target account planning and enables the sales account managers on sales initiatives. He/she will work closely with the sales and the sales partners and assist in the development of formal sales proposal and presents and differentiates product offerings at a technical level from the competition. He/ She must be able to articulate the company’s product portfolio, positioning to both business and technical users. The pre-salesperson is responsible for identifying customers business requirements and providing solutions to new & existing corporate customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product presentations and demonstrations
  • Assists with the qualification of the opportunities and/or identification of target accounts.
  • Provide customer solutions in a professional manner and to agreed timeframes.
  • Support with qualification processes of sales opportunities
  • Deliver training on solutions and provide product support to external as well as internal stakeholders.
  • Provide answers to technical/Non-technical questions in a Request for Information (RFI) or a Request for Proposal (RFP)
  • Properly structure and produce compelling sales proposals/commercial and functional documentation outlining the cost savings and business benefits to the clients.
  • Build and revise the custom demonstrations.
  • Coordinate the POC implementation plans and deliver the Proof of Concepts (POC)
  • Provide first-line customer support for seamless product evaluations /pilot engagements.
  • Support to the sales team to manage the customer interactions.
  • Compare inhouse product offerings at a functional as well as commercial level with competitive products.
  • Liaise with the in-house teams to ensure accurate and timely resolution of product issues that may arise during the pre-sales process.
  • Assists customer, prospect, and sales representative to build a compelling and competitive business case documents to define and explain the ROI.
  • Manages and coordinate the hand-over to the services functions for implementation and post-sales support.
  • Work with product management team and provide feedback on issues with current product and provide meaningful insights for product betterment.
  • Able to understand business drivers and risks involved in the customer acquisition journey.
  • Provide accurate and timely management information, to include - activity reports, bid reviews, project forecasts, KPI’s.
  • Adhere to the company’s quality and business processes.
  • Ability to develop effective working relationships internally at a variety of levels and work closely with commercial departments such as sales, operations, and product development.
  • Interface with the implementation / project team, articulating customer requirement, to ensure smooth transition from sale to delivery.
  • Participate in weekly cadence calls.

Required Experience / Qualifications

  • Motivated, competitive individual with a strong aptitude for learning product features and comparing the same with competitor products.
  • Excellent presentation skills, verbal and written communication skills, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to comprehend the product line and to communicate our value proposition to prospects.
  • Knowledge of commonly used solution selling concepts, practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Must interact effectively with all levels of management and staff, internally and externally.
  • Must be adaptable, professional, courteous, and motivated, and must work well individually or as a member of a team.
  • Self-starting with solid follow-through, multi-tasking, and excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and challenging workload.
  • Highly motivated with a strong desire to succeed.
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role, with solid track record
  • Post-Graduation in management or equivalent degree from Tier 1 business schools
