The National Institute for Interdisciplinary Science and Technology(NIIST), Thiruvananthapuram, is a premier Institute of the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research(CSIR), involved in multidisciplinary R&D programmes of both basic and applied nature across scientific disciplines for economic, environmental and societal benefits for the people of India. This Institute is engaged in R&D of five broad areas namely 

1. Agro Processing Technology
2. Microbial Process Technology
3. Chemical Science & Technology
4. Materials Science & Technology 
5. Environmental Technology

Recruitment of Scientists/Sr.Scientist/Pr.Scientist

Online applications are invited from Indian Nationals for the posts of Scientists in the pay matrix Level 11 & Senior Scientist in the Pay matrix Level 12 & Principal Scientist in the Pay matrix Level 13.

You should have one of the below qualification to apply for the post.

1. M. Tech in Food Technology/Agriculture Engineering 
2. PhD (submitted) in Food Technology/ Agriculture Engineering.
3. PhD (submitted) in chemistry with specialization in edible oil / fats / allied area.
4. M.E./M. Tech in Chemical Engineering
5. PhD in Industrial Chemistry/Chemical Engineering with 2 years’ postdoctoral research experience
6. M.E /M. Tech in Environmental Engineering
7. PhD (submitted) in Chemistry in the area of chemical process/product development for industrial waste (air/solid/liquid) treatment and value addition.
8. PhD (submitted) in Biophysics/ Molecular Biophysics/Molecular Life Sciences.
9. MTech or PhD (submitted) in Biochemical - Engineering/Biotechnology.
10. M.E./MTech in Metallurgical/ Materials Engineering.
11. PhD in Physics with 3 years’ experience
